My trip to the twin motor show in Indonesia , namely GIIAS and IIMS
I I am a petrolhead who lives in Palangka Raya, Central Borneo, Indonesia. Both motor show was held on the same days , which is 20 to 30 August 2015. I want to see both of them, so I set off from Palanka Raya to Jakarta on August 25 and return on
August 28.
The first day I saw IIMS, as close with where I stay in Kelapa Gading area. The second day I saw GIIAS all day long and also due to the long journey to get there also due to the long journey which is located at Serpong area.
On the third day I watched again IIMS and had an opportunity to met two fellow petrol heads, friends of mine.
The 23rd Indonesia International Motor Show
opened at the Kemayoran fairground in Central Jakarta, while the inaugural Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show opens in the BSD township west of Jakarta.
Gaikindo until last year participated in the IIMS,
but an administrative spat led to the association
breaking with IIMS organizer Dyandra Promosindo
to run its own show, which it touts as the biggest
motor show in Southeast Asia.
The IIMS, which has lost much of its luster this year
with the absence of major Gaikindo members, was
opened by Vice President Jusuf Kalla, who
acknowledged the slide in car sales as consumer
purchasing power weakens amid slowing economic growth.
The vice president said car manufacturers faced
a short-term challenge, but was confident that
the industry would flourish in the medium to long term,
pointing out that cars were “now considered a basic
necessity,” thus helping sustain and even boost demand.
After I noticed , when a festive and sparkling is GIIAS , while the IIMS looks solitude . It is also seen from the lonely Shuttle Bus IIMS and bad service at passengers , namely the lack of seats in the bus stop. Because of this incident , the IIMS aware of it and planned to be held in April next year. Well, I hope both of them running properly and successfully, so becoming the choice of consumers and petrol heads in the future.
