Car Talk: How Safe is Your Car Really?

Driving safety advice is worth it. The NHTSA might include collision avoidance in its criteria for the 5 star rating. Right now, it doesn’t.

This issue brings up a good point. That right now, you get to know how safe you’ll be in your car once an accident happens. You don’t know how safe you are in terms of avoiding that accident in the first place.

At the same time, you get cars coming out nowadays with safety technologies that really help you avoid the crash in the first place. That should be worth more than what happens when you do crash, right?

I guess that’s something we get to enjoy because our engineers are so innovative. And if this bipartisan bill gets passed into law, you’ll have people creating more innovative safety technology to be given that five star rating. Both customers and companies win in this case.
